DICOM Listener
The DICOM Listener is used for DICOM data import with Listening mode. It is independent of the myQA SW and needs to be installed separately.
The DICOM Listener will act as a service for multiple myQA clients. Administrative rights are required to
install and use the DICOM Listener.
Installing the DICOM Listener SW
- Copy the file, DicomListener.exe, from the myQA SW CD to your PC.
- Right-click DicomListener.exe and select Run as administrator in the context menu.
- Follow the instruction in the opened DicomServerConfigurationSettings Setup wizard.
- Once the installation finishes, a shortcut icon will be created on the PC.
- If the box, , in the last installation step is checked, after
clicking the Finish button, the Dicom Server Configuration Settings dialog will open after provided
administrator account credentials.
Starting the Listening Service
- Right-click the Dicom Server Configuration Settings shortcut icon and select Run as administrator in
the context menu. - After providing administrator account credentials, the Dicom Server Configuration Settings dialog
opens with default settings (the local DICOM listener port).Port: DICOM listener port number. The default for local listening port is 998, which is always open.
AET: Application Entity Title. The default AET for local listener port is IBA_Listening.
Start / Stop button: Click to start / stop listening to the DICOM data. - Click the Start button to start listening when the local listener port is used.
Changing the Local DICOM Listener Port
- If a different DICOM listener port is used, enter its port number and AET in the Dicom Server
Configuration Settings dialog.
CAUTION: VERIFY THE SETTING OF THE DICOM LISTENER PORT
Verify the setting of the DICOM listener port. Ensure that the port is available for the DICOM import. To improve the network security, it is advisable to close unused ports when not needed.
Event Table Viewer
The myQA Database stores actions done to a patient’s data in an encrypted log. The patient data log can
be viewed in the Event Table Viewer. The Event Table Viewer complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679).
The Event Log Viewer is intended to view the patient data in the event of a cybersecurity incident or if a patient requests detailed information about their personal data and its use. No changes can be made, and
no data can be exported.

Opening the Event Table Viewer
Prerequisites: The Event Table Viewer is only available with an activated myQA Patients license and the user must be a member of the Admin user group.
- Right-click the Main menu and then click Event Log Viewer.
- Please careful read the popup Warning message before you decide to continue.
- After clicking the Continue button, the Event Table Viewer window opens: Event Table Viewer – 1: Data filter button, 2: Column filter button, 3: Version information button
Event Table Viewer Filters
The Event Table Viewer provides Data filter and Column filter. The Data filter selects events (rows) and the
Column filter selects the columns to be displayed in the Event Table Viewer.
Column Filter
By clicking the Column filter button, the Column filter dialog opens displaying the available information
can be viewed for each event in columns:
- Check the box if this item should be displayed.
- The box is greyed out if this information is not available in any events.
- Click the OK button to confirm the selection.
Data Filter
Data filter contains several sub-filters. Only the events that satisfy all defined sub-filters are displayed.
By clicking the Column filter button, the Column filter dialog opens
Data Filter contains several filters.
- Select target type:
In the current SW version, it is read-only and set to Patient. - Filter by user id or user name / Filter by patient id or patient name / Filter by windows user:
Only the events with the filter item (e.g., User Id or User Name) containing the entered text (part of a word, a word or phrase) will be displayed. - Time interval filter
Click the calendars in the right-side of the boxes and then enter the starting date (Enter from Date) and ending date (Enter to date), respectively. Only the time interval between these two dates are displayed. - Filter by log type:
Click the box and select a type in the dropdown list containing all possible actions (create / update /
delete / archive / restore a patient, and view a project).

See two examples for creating data filters in the Filter by data dialog below:
Example 1. Showing all patient type events for a specific patient ID / Name for a given time interval.
- Enter the desired Patient ID or Patient Name in the Filter by patient id or patient name sub-filter.
- Enter the starting date (Enter from Date) and ending date (Enter to date) of the desired time interval in the Time interval sub-filter, respectively.
- Click the Ok button.
Example 2. Showing all patient type events for a specific specific windows user for a given time interval.
- Enter the desired windows username in the Filter by windows user sub-filter.
- Enter the starting date (Enter from Date) and ending date (Enter to date) of the desired time interval in the Time interval sub-filter, respectively.
- Click the Ok button.
