Can I use CCU-X for absolute dosimetry?
Answer
CCU-X has the same electrometer input channels as our reference class electrometer DOSE-X. The CCU-X with the water phantom can perform timed absolute point measurements in myQA Accept. But we still recommend DOSE-X based on the following main reasons:
- CCU-X will be in the bunker during the measurement and can be affected by the scattering.
- DOSE-X user interface is optimized for absolute dose measurement. It is easier to setup the necessary parameters and correction factors, compared to myQA Accept.
- DOSE-X is lightweight and easy to setup, compared to CCU-X and water phantom.
