I try to connect to the Dolphin but I cannot finish adding a new detector. It picks up the device and gets the IP details but when I want to click connect the following error message pops up and Compass crashes.
How can I solve this Dolphin connection error?
This error occurs because the IP address of the Dolphin does not have the dots in-between the number blocks. It should look like 123.456.12.45 but in your case it looks like 123,456,12,45 or 123 456 12 45.
In order to change this:
Open the Control Panel.
Click on Region.
Click on Additional Settings.
Choose as Digit grouping symbol a dot (.) and click OK to confirm the changes.
Now try again to connect the Dolphin. The IP should be picked up correctly and the device setup should work. In case you have further questions trouble please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
