How do I improve the signal strength with the Stealth detector?
Because of the close proximity to the radiation source, the sensitivity level may need to be adjusted to facilitate better results. This process is outlined below.
In the Controller panel portion of the myQA Accept software, move to the Electrometer panel and find the Sensitivity settings in the top right of this window. In this case, ensure you are in the Reference field as we are focused on the Stealth currently.
As shown below, the signal quality is yellow which indicates that the signal quality is low. In the Sensitivity portion, it would be recommended to choose Medium. Once the change is made, you will need to perform a new Background and Normalization.
As you can see in the below screenshot, the signal quality is now green. This indicates the ideal signal quality.
If the signal color is red, this indicates that the sensitivity is too high and should be lowered. Once a lower option is chosen, a new background and normalization will be required as before.
