Question
How to verify the integrity of the myQA Daily software and firmware upgrade zip-file with a checksum?
Answer
For the myQA Daily zip files that are sent to eligible customers via download, we provide a checksum (SHA-256) to verify the integrity of the download package. If the checksum is calculated after the download and compared to the value we publish for this file, it is certain that the installer package is intact, complete and no manipulation happened to the files during upload, storing on a sharefile folder or during the download.
There are different tools available for calculating checksums with Windows (e.g. 7zip), the results should be the same, no matter what tool is used.
Once the myQA Daily software and firmware upgrade zip-file is fully downloaded, it is a zip file called "myQADailyupdate.zip", the SHA-256 checksum can be calculated and compared to the following value:
- SHA-256: 94D5F775D1E30865A8BE0FFDD74FE22B6C8FF39F0D838323FBCA90582A4071B0
If there is no match between these values and the checksum you are getting from the downloaded zip file, please contact the IBA Dosimetry Service team, to notify us about the mismatch and to receive a new upgrade file.
