Question
How are language files managed in myQA PROactive?
Answer
All the words and sentences used in the user interface (terminology) are loaded from a *.json language file. A language file contains a complete terminology set. Different translations of the user interface terminology correspond to different files. It is possible to have multiple files for the same language, for instance, to adhere to guidelines used in different departments. It is also possible to add new languages by adding the corresponding language files.
Every user can select their preferred language file from their User Profile. The names of all available
language files are listed in the drop-down menu.
To switch from one language to another, select it from the drop-down menu and click Save. If the language does not change automatically, refresh the browser.
Language files can be found in this directory:
C:\Program Files\IBA Dosimetry\myQA PROactive\wwwroot\assets\translations
The same directory can be reached by clicking on the myQA PROactive > translations directories icon in
the Windows Start menu.
Language files can be edited and new language files can be created.

When a language file was edited or added, a refresh of the browser (e.g., F5) is necessary to activate the language. In some cases a browser cache refresh is needed (Ctrl+F5).
