What is the maximum mass that can be placed on the chest wall platform used by the pRESP phantom?
Answer
The load placed on the chest wall platform is dependent on the type of load as well as the nature of the waveform. It was internally tested with a sinusoidal waveform operating at 60BPM with a mass up to 1.8kg. Best specification to inform a customer is, the chest wall platform has been tested up to 1.5 kg and state that the capacity is heavily dependent on the waveform being used as well as the type of load being moved. I.E. A solid object is easier to move than something filled with a liquid.
