Question
How can I verify the integrity of the DOSE-X Firmware 2023.08.0 update package with a SHA checksum?
Answer
For the DOSE-X Firmware update zip file that is sent to customers via email download and available in the IBA Dosimetry Support Portal, we provide the SHA-256 checksum to verify the integrity of the update package. If the checksum is calculated after the download and compared to the value we publish for this version here below, it is certain that the installer package is intact, complete and no manipulation happened to the files during upload, storing or during the download.
There are different tools available for calculating checksums with Windows (e.g. 7zip), the results should be the same, no matter what tool is used.
Once the DOSE-X Firmware 2023.08.0 update zip upgrade installer is fully downloaded, it is a zip file called "dosex-2023.08.0-release.firmware.cust_svc_pkg", the SHA-256 checksum can be calculated and compared to the following value:
SHA-256: 16548d8935c764c534cc20b93c679bfcd74f9c8920879b270eca0511444ccb1a
If there is no match between this value and the checksum you are getting from the downloaded zip file, please contact the IBA Dosimetry Service team, to notify us about the mismatch and to receive a new upgrade file.
