Question
How to verify the integrity of the MatriXX Resolution / myQA Daily firmware 2023.10.1 upgrade zip-file with a checksum?
Answer
For the MatriXX Resolution myQA Daily firmware zip file that is sent to customers via download, we provide a checksum (SHA-256) to verify the integrity of the download package. If the checksum is calculated after the download and compared to the value we publish for this file, it is certain that the installer package is intact, complete and no manipulation happened to the files during upload, storing on a sharepoint folder or during the download.
There are different tools available for calculating checksums with Windows (e.g. 7zip), the results should be the same, no matter what tool is used. You can also use a build-in Windows tool to generate the SHA-256 checksum:
How can I use the Windows build-in SHA-256 checksum calculator via command line prompt?
Once the MatriXX Resolution / myQA Daily firmware 2023.10.1 upgrade zip-file is fully downloaded, the SHA-256 checksum can be calculated and compared to the following value before unpacking of the zip-files:
- 2DDetector-2023.10.1 Firmware.zip, SHA-256: 2235751b2b5c3236e1f4a954939c8160c99483970b42128b4a2c672bf6e6c31d
If there is no match between these values and the checksum you are getting from the downloaded zip file, please contact the IBA Dosimetry Service team, to notify us about the mismatch and to receive a new upgrade file.
