Question
How can I verify the integrity of myQA 2024-001 upgrade installer with a SHA checksum?
Answer
For the myQA Upgrade zip files that are sent to eligible customers via download, we provide the SHA-256 checksum to verify the integrity of the upgrade package. If the checksum is calculated after the download and compared to the value we publish for this version here below, it is certain that the installer package is intact, complete and no manipulation happened to the files during upload, storing on a sharepoint folder or during the download.
There are different tools available for calculating checksums with Windows (e.g. 7zip), the results should be the same, no matter what tool is used.
How can I use the Windows build-in SHA-256 checksum calculator via command line prompt?
For myQA 2024-001 two upgrade installer files were provided, a standard package "myQA2024-001UpgradeSmall.zip" and one for PT installations "myQA2024-001UpgradeFull.zip". Once the corresponding zip-file is fully downloaded, the SHA-256 checksum can be calculated and compared to the following value:
- "myQA2024-001UpgradeSmall.zip" standard, SHA-256: 3edbb42d28ba8f7210e94870a747ce5cd2177181e360edb781720a1109c4932d
- "myQA2024-001UpgradeFull.zip" for PT installations, SHA-256: c8acbd9d0e2448dd6a8fa1c8db7464fd7b42eed4e0e1b48109a478f397687688
If there is no match between these values and the checksums you are getting from the downloaded zip file, please contact the IBA Dosimetry Service team, to notify us about the mismatch and to receive a new upgrade file.
