Prerequisite:
- The measurement devices are set up (Chapter 2)
- PLD files (Section 3.2) and baseliness (Section 3.3) are ready
- Communication with PTS is established (Section 3.1)
General procedure
- 1. In the myQA Platform workspace > Equipment setup page, define the PT machine and the
measurement device in the software (Section 4.2.2 and 4.3.3, myQA Platform Instructions for Use). - In the myQA Machines workspace > Test Setup page, create a PT machine QA protocol template
(Section 6.1.2). - In the Test Setup page, create the PT machine QA protocol with a protocol template created in the
previous step (Section 6.2.1). - In the Test Run page, perform test and analysis (Chapter 7).
- In the Test Repository workspace, review the test results and the print test report (Chapter 8) .
CAUTION: PROTECT DATAFILES FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS AND MODIFICATION
With myQA Machines PT, measurements can be saved (exported) as DICOM or OPG and stored locally or on thenetwork.
Additional technical and organizational measures should betaken by the operator or user, to prevent these files to beaccessed / modified by unauthorized persons or entities.
Re-importing corrupted or modified data files can affectpatient safety.
WARNING: DO NOT USE SATURATED IMAGES
Please avoid using images that are saturated or where beam is cut, which can lead to wrong results.
Default parameters in analysis algorithms
WARNING: ALGORITHMS AND DEFAULT PARAMETERS
Classification settings:
Threshold = 7.5 %
Median - kernel size = 11 px
Defect reconstruction settings:
Gaussian-standard deviation= 3.0 px
Gaussian-kernelsize= 7 px
Median-kernelsize= 3 px
The values of the analysis parameters can be edited; see Section 3.2.4, myQA Platform Instructions for Use
Default Lynx PT measurement settings
Exposure time per frame = 2 second
Iris aperture = 100%
Sphinx Compact measurement settings
WARNING: SPHINX COMPACT SETTINGS
The default values for gain is 2 s and frame duration is 2 pF.
WARNING: UNDETECTABLE IMAGE SATURATION DUE TO THE DETECTOR SATURATION
When using Sphinx Compact at 4 pF or 8 pF gains with myQA software, detector saturation may not be detected by the software. The software only detects the charge amplifier saturation (level equal or higher than 65536 counts including background) but not the diode saturation (level depends on the panel and temperature).
The undetectable image saturation due to the Sphinx Compact detector saturation might lead to a wrong determination of counts and spot sizes for machine QA.
It is thus recommended to use gains of 2 pF or lower.
If a gain of 4 pF or 8 pF is selected, a warning tooltip will apprear next to the Gain parameter:
On the other hand, it is recommended to avoid acquiring images with too low count values. If the maximum count value of images is below 30,000 counts, you can decrease the gain value. For example, if an image is acquired with a gain of 1 pF and the count values are around 20,000, the same acquisition with a gain of 0.5 pF should provide an image with count values around 40.000.
