BP SMARTSCAN System
The BP SMARTSCAN water tank consists of :
- A Perspex water tank with alignment markers on the 4 walls and bottom, maximum water level marker
on XZ-walls (200 L) and slanted bottom for easy draining. - A three-dimensional high precision servo mechanism, which includes:
- A leveling frame (1) for leveling the frame to the water surface. It has the following major parts:
- Four leveling and locking screws (1a).
- Four leveling pins (1b).
- Motors of the three dimensions are combined with a contactless, absolute linear way sensor, according to the magnetostrictive measurement principle, providing real-time feedback of the current position (1c).
- X, Y- and Z-axis rulers printed on the rails so that the distance readings on the hand control can
be confirmed (1d).
Note: The printed rulers provide indicative values only. There is an inherent tolerance of ± 0.3 mm due to the production process.
- Connection box (2) connecting sensors, electronics, and hand control.
- A common control unit with integrated two-channel electrometer (CCU).
- A handle with integrated cable protection box (3).
- Detector holder on the horizontal X-rail (4). Various detectors can be mounted. The field detector can be positioned in three dimensions for measuring both horizontal and vertical beams.
- Servo coordinate system indication (5).
- Quick coupling for water filling / draining (6).
BP SMARTSCAN phantom
The BP SMARTSCAN system can be combined with the following options to meet individual requirements:
- A TMR probe can be purchased and installed in the water tank.
- A manually operated or electrical lift table.
- A water reservoir with unidirectional or bidirectional pump.
- Detectors (recommended: field detector: CC04; reference detector: CC13 or Stealth Chamber) and cables.
Connectors on the Water Phantom
The connection box contains connectors for the three motors/position sensors, the drive control cable, the remote control, water reservoir, lift table, TMR probe, water temperature sensor and service socket.
CAUTION: DO NOT DIRECTLY IRRADIATE THE CONNECTION BOX
A warning label on the top of the box also reminds that do not directly irradiate the connection box. It may erase the pre-install information in the electronics.
