Question
How can I verify the integrity of the myQA iON 2.2 installer with a SHA checksum?
Answer
For the myQA iON installer which is available for download as a zip file that is shared with the myQA iON customers via download, we provide the SHA-256 checksum to verify the integrity of the installer package. If the checksum is calculated after the download and compared to the value we publish for this version here below, it is certain that the installer package is intact, complete and no manipulation happened to the files during upload, storing on a share point folder or during the download.
There are different tools available for calculating checksums with Windows (e.g. 7zip), the results should be the same, no matter what tool is used.
How can I use the Windows build-in SHA-256 checksum calculator via command line prompt?
For myQA iON 2.2 the installer files are provided as one zip file "myQA iON 2.2.zip". Once the corresponding zip-file is fully downloaded, the SHA-256 checksum can be calculated and compared to the following value:
- "myQA iON 2.2.zip", SHA-256:
1baf54da55718a9e17b970fd3c5eee1d8d78506930db7049dc9af18e1c42971d
If there is no match between these values and the checksums you are getting from the downloaded zip file, please contact the IBA Dosimetry Service team, to notify us about the mismatch and to receive a new upgrade file.
