On the Dose Evaluation tab a dose evaluation can be calculated.
- Option for RT: Click Select logs (1) and select the desired Plan from logs (2). DVH and clinical goals can
be calculated based on these logs, but it is not necessary. This option is not available for PT. For both RT and PT: Click Start (3) to begin the analysis.
A Dose Statistics table (4) and DVH Graph (5) will be generated. The DVH Graph shows curves for Dose TPS, Independent Dose, and Logs (RT only).
Note: For structures where a dose value is not exported from the TPS, a value of 0.00 will be shown in the calculated DVH table (Dose Statistics).
Clinical goals (6) of the selected template will be displayed under the Dose Statistics and DVH Graph.
DVH Graph
- Click on either the curve groups (Dose TPS, Independent Dose, or Logs) (1) or the individual structures (i.e., Heart, Cord, CTV) (2) to turn on or off the lines in the graph.
- Double-click the name of a structure in the list to isolate that structure and hide the others. Doule-click again to show all the structures.
- To zoom in, click and drag a square around an area of interest (3). Double click to return the graph to the original size.
Clinical Goals
A clinical goal template is necessary for dose evaluation. If there is no template available for a structure (i.e., you must have a brain template for a brain structure), then the analysis will result in an error.
- Click Select template (1) and select a template from the list (2) to apply it to the analysis.
- Click Start (3) to begin the analysis with the selected template.
When the analysis is complete, the Dose Statistics and DVH graph will be updated to show only the structures from the selected template. Once a template has been analyzed it will appear under the Analysis section (4).
Under Clinical Goals the results of each clinical objective will be displayed.
Clinical goals results Click the Filter button to only show specific structures in the selected template. Click Clear filters to see all structures.

Exporting a Patient QA Report
- Once a plan has been approved it can be exported as a PDF by clicking the Export button.
The default filename is “YYYY-MM-DD-Patient first name-Patient last name”. The user must have existing
permission to export patient data, see Section 3.1.3).
The PDF of the Patient QA Report will include a header that displays the same information at the top of each
page. This information includes:
- Patient and plan information
- Clinical mode
- Approval status
The body of the report will consist of the QA activities performed for the patient.
