We have identified an error with the dose sampling and settings of the DVH curve display in myQA iON.
Situations where this error may occur
- If the user uses only the DVH curves for plan evaluation, then decision might be taken based on
suboptimal information. This may lead to a false positive QA. - The user uses Gamma Analysis as the first source for evaluation. For failing Gamma Analysis or
clinical goals the user refers to the DVHs for their decision taking/evaluation.
Solution
To avoid this error, we recommend that the sampling is set to 0.001 Gy.
Additionally, it is recommended to use all sources of information, not only DVH (i.e., Gamma Results,
Gamma per structure, Clinical goals, Patient QA) to determine if result are correct.
