Test Run Page
After a QA task has been set up on the Setup page (Section 6.5.2), it can be executed on the Test Run page. All tasks set up in a week are displayed on the Test Run – Task Overview page (Section 7.2.1)
About running a task
- When one user starts executing a task for a specific machine, no other user can access that task. Only
after finishing the task, it can be viewed by other users. - If a task is in execution, it is displayed on the Test Run – Task Execution page (Section 7.2.2).
- Task results are displayed only for the current day on the Test Run – Task Execution – Summary page (Section 7.2.2.4) and Test Run – Summary page (Section 7.2.3). The results of previously executed tasks can be viewed only in the Trends page (Section 7.3).
- Task executions can be repeated.
Measurements of a sequence of beams or single beam
There are two ways to execute a task run: (1) measuring a sequence of beams (Section 7.2.2.1) - that expects all beams to be executed in the defined order and (2) measuring individual beams (Section 7.2.2.2).
When creating a task, a physicist can define multiple beams for a task in the order that they are programmed in the LINAC so that the measurement sequence (beam order) matches that in the LINAC program. In this way, the user interaction in myQA Daily is minimized when the task is performed as a sequence for all beams.
If single measurements already exist when a measurement sequence is started, all beams will be remeasured. A measurement sequence can only be executed for all defined beams. There is no partial execution.
Halt a task execution
It is possible to halt a task execution and continue the same task execution within two hours. After two hours, any measurement data will be discarded, and the task will show as not in execution. This means, in case of a network interruption or a browser crash, an existing task execution can be resumed just by opening the task execution again. No data will be lost if it happens within two hours of the start.
If a task execution has been started and the user reopens it, a dialog with the option to resume (keep already done measurements), restart or discard is displayed. Sequence measurements can be stopped. A dialog asks the user if measured results should be retained or discarded.
Note: When the device is disconnecting, after measurement is aborted, the browser might not respond. Please refresh the browser by pressing F5 key on the keyboard to return to the test execution page.
Test Run – Start-up Page: Task Overview
After entering the login credentials, by default, a start-up page will open the Test Run – Task Overview page on the current day of the week of all machines if daily tasks have been set up for at least one machine and reference measurements are available (Section 6.5.2).
If a machine is bookmarked to, e.g., a certain machine (Section 6.6.5) and the application is opened with the bookmark, the start-up page is the Test Run page on the current weekday of the bookmarked machine. The daily QA check procedure can be started directly with this machine (Section 8.3).
Components on the Test Run – Task Overview page
- Machine list in the navigation panel (1) – All Machines and individual machines are listed. By selecting All Machines or an individual machine, the corresponding tasks of selected machine(s) are displayed in blocks.
Executed date filter (2) – it includes all days and all days in a week. All tasks in a week (by selecting All) or the tasks of a particular day (by selecting this day) are displayed. By default, the current weekday is selected. However, a different day can be selected so that the tasks not initially planned for the current day can be executed.
When tasks are executed, they are always executed for the actual current day. The execution day cannot be modified to an earlier or later day, i.e., the task results show up on the current executing day but not its initially planned day. On the initially planned day, this task is still listed as not executed.
- Main display (3; task blocks): displays the overview of tasks for the selected machine on the current day (by default, or a user-selected day) in blocks.
- If a weekday is selected: The tasks are sorted by status first, then machine name.
- If ‘All’ days are selected: The tasks are sorted by machine name (status is ignored).
- Start button (4) to start the measurement.
Task block (before executing the task)
The task block shows:
- Machine name
- Task name
- Device name including network status (green: online; red: offline)
- Number of beams
(Before starting the task) the Start button for starting task execution.
By clicking the Start button to start the measurement, the displayed page switches to the Test Run – Task Execution - Start page (Section 7.2.2.1)
(After the task had been started but aborted) the Start button and the Discard command.
By clicking the Discard button, the measured data is discarded. Click Start to start the task from the beginning.
In the case of clicking the Start button of a task that has already been started by the same user, a dialog
appears:
- Click the CONTINUE button to keep the already measured data and continue measurement for unmeasured beams.
- Click the RESTART button to discard the measured data and start the measurement from the beginning.
- Click the CANCEL button to switch back to the Test Run – Task Overview page..
Task block (after finishing a task execution)
The task block shows
- Machine name
- Task name
- Device name including network status (green: online; red: offline)
- Number of beams
- (After executing the task) Following items are available:
- Last executed time and the operator’s name
- QA check status:
- Passed: results are within tolerances
- Failed: at least one result exceeds its tolerance
- Incomplete: beam measurements are not complete
- Buttons: View, Print, and Repeat.
View: goes to the Test Run – Summary page (Section 7.2.3)
Print: goes to the Print Preview page.
Viewing or printing executed tasks can only be done for the tasks finished on the current day (on a different day, see Section 7.3.3).
Repeat: goes to the Test Run - Task Execution - Start page (Section 7.2.2.1). If measurements need to be re-run, the whole task needs to be repeated.

This page displays the task that was started by clicking the Start button on the Test Run – Task Overview
page.

The navigation (left) navigates the main display to Start (Section 7.2.2.1), individual assigned beams of the
task (Section 7.2.2.2), and Summary (Section 7.2.2.4) sub-pages. The main display displays the task details
of selected item in the navigation:
- Start page for execute the measurement sequence - to test all beams assigned to the task continuously in sequence (Section 7.2.2.1).
- Individual assigned beams for execute single beam measurements
- Summary page: once the task execution finishes, the page will jump to this page automatically (Section 7.2.2.4).
- Discard command: By clicking Discard command on the upper-right corner, a confirmation dialog appears and asks to confirm cancellation of the task execution. Click OK to confirm.
Test Run – Task Execution - Start Page
When the Start button in a task block is clicked, the page goes to the Task Execution page where Start is selected in the navigation and the task is in execution is displayed in the main area.
Device status (1)
Green: online; Red: offline
The measurement button is enabled only when the device is online.
Battery status: green: charge ≥ 30 %, orange: 15 % < charge < 30%; red: charge ≤ 15 %.
The battery status has no effect on the application. The user should ensure the battery charge is enough to finish the measurements.
- Power plug status: show a “plug” icon if the device is powered by the power plug.
Security checklist (if defined in setup) (2)
If a security checklist is included with a task, the list is shown on the right-side of the main display.
Please manually go through the checklist items. Select the items if the security check are passed.
An orange warning sign (2a) appears next to Start in the navigation if every item from the security checklist is not selected.
Note: The administrator / physicist can define security checklist or not in the Setup page. If there are no checks defined, nothing will be displayed here.

Shows general instructions for performing measurements.
START MEASUREMENT SEQUENCE button (4)
By clicking the START MEASUREMENT SEQUENCE button, the Measurement Sequence dialog opens,
where the task will be executed for all beams in the order defined when creating the task.
In the Measurement Sequence dialog, the beams are represented by circles with status indicated in the beam order from left to right (1):
- Dash circle: waiting for the beam or it is currently being measured,
- Solid circle with a green checkmark: measurement finished and status: passed,
- Solid circle with a red exclamation mark: measurement finished and status: failed.
The information of the current beam is shown in the box below the (2) current beam circle: energy field size, and monitor units; waiting for it or currently measuring.
ABORT SEQUENCE button: To stop running the sequence, click this button and then click YES to confirm.
Workflow in the Measurement Sequence dialog
- The dialog shows that it is waiting for the first beam with certain energy and field size to be delivered.
- Turn on the beam. Once a beam is detected, the measurement starts.
- Once all monitor units are delivered and the beam is detected off, the dialog shows that it is waiting for
the next beam. - After the sequence has been completed or the sequence is aborted by clicking the ABORT SEQUENCE button, the Measurement Sequence dialog is closed and the results are displayed in Test Run – Task Execution – Summary (Section 7.2.2.4), where the user can check the overall results.
- Click the FINISH TASK button to finish the task.
Test Run – Task Execution -Individual Beam Measurement
By scrolling down the Start page (1) or selecting a specific beam in the navigation (2), the details of this beam is displayed, where it can be run individually by clicking the START MEASUREMENT button.
Test Run–Start page – single beam section (example) After the measurement finishes, two buttons are available:
- Click REPEAT to re-do the measurement or CONTINUE to measure the next beam in the list in
navigation.
Optional Secondary Approval
Secondary approval is designed to double-ensure the daily QA has been carried out correctly. If the secondary approval option is enabled by ticking the Approval by Admin or Physicist box under General settings (Section 6.6.3.5).
After a task execution is completed by clicking the FINISH TASK button (see the above sub-section), a physicist or an administrator can inspect the results and perform his/her approval by clicking the View button (1) of a task on the Test Run – All Machines (task details of completed tasks) page:
- Please note that a dosimetric assistant cannot perform a secondary approval. The button will not be
displayed for these users. - All users can see the secondary approval if it has been done. The “Approved” sign (2) appears. Approver
and approval date are displayed on:- Test Run – All Machines, the completed task execution details page (4)
- Printout of a completed task execution by clicking the Print button (5)
- Task details on Trends page (see Section 7.3.3)
- Test Run – Summary for completed task executions
If the task is approved, the Approval sign will appear (2). If the secondary approval has not been performed yet, the Approval pending sign will appear (3).
Optionally, a comment can be added before clicking the Approve button. To do so, an approval comment tooltip will appear next to the approver:
Test Run – Task Execution – Summary Page
Once a measurement finishes, the pages goes to the Summary sub-page:
In the box at the top (1), the overall status is shown:
- The task result status is passed, if all beam results are passed.
- The task result status is failed, if at least one beam result is failed. Unmeasured beam may exist.
- The task result is incomplete, if no beam results exist, or if for a partially executed task, only passed results exist.
Overwrite Status (1a)
Note: Users with physicist role can overwrite a task result on the Summary page.
- The resulting QA status can be overwritten by clicking Overwrite Status and then selecting a new status
in the status dropdown list. After entering comments in the Please provide a reason for status change box, red frame becomes gray and the FINISH TASK button (2) becomes enabled.
Overwrite status (example) Click SAVE. The summary changes to the new status and also indicated that status has been changed and what was the original status.
Afterwards the task result status is changed and the task is displayed with the new status as well as the original status and the override reason.
Note: Only physicists can overwrite the status (dosimetric assistants cannot overwrite status).
- Click the FINISH TASK button to complete the task execution process.
Test Run – Summary Page
The Test Run – Summary page is opened by clicking View in the task block of an executed task (see Section 7.2.2.3)
The result overview of all beams is displayed by selecting Summary in navigation. Detailed results of individual beams are shown by scrolling down the page or selecting the specific beam in navigation.
For description of task status and Overwrite Status, see section above.
- View trends command:
Opens the Trends page (Section 7.3) and displays the dose output trends of the measured beams. Print command:
The finished task execution page allows printing of the task. By clicking the Print command in the upper-right corner in this Summary page or in the task block in the Test Run – Task Overview page, the browsers default Print dialog opens. Please refer to the browsers print help for details on the available print settings.
View and Download commands:
The View and download commands are in each beam detailed display
Test Run – Summary page, beam detailed display View command:
Clicking View opens the measurement and reference data graphical view, including the 2D data and 1D inline and crossline profiles. By placing the cursor on a data point, a tool tip will appear displaying the values of counts and dose in cGy of this data point.
Test Run – Summary page, beam detailed display Download command:
By clicking Download, the measurement data of this beam will be downloaded in the .json format.
Note: *.json files are readable in Notepad++ but not Notepad.
