Please be aware, this chapter serves as a Quick Start Guide for setting up the device and taking measurements in myQA SW.

Install the myQA Software

Right-click myQAFull.exe > Run as administrator.
- Follow the installation instructions.

Activate license keys with the IBA License Manager (installed with myQAFull.exe).
- For data storage, the full SQL Server version is recommended
- For issues, please contact register@iba-group.com
- Allow myQA through Windows Defender Firewall:
Type “Allow an App through Windows Firewall” in the Windows search bar and click to open the Control
Panel. -
Check Domain, Private, and Public for the myQA Apps.
- Click OK.
Configure the MatriXX AiR IP Address
- Connect the MatriXX AiR via ethernet cable to your computer.
- Turn on the device and press the Config button.
- Type 169.254.22.11 into your web browser to open the MatriXX AiR configuration page.

Click the Navigation panel (1) button to access the device information.
- Under Configure Ethernet [wired] choose DHCP or connect wirelessly by doing the following
- Under Configure Wireless select the WLAN, enter the authentication information in the Connect
section, and click Connect. - Current WLAN IP settings and connection status can be found in the WLAN IPv4 and WLAN IPv6
sections. - In Set configuration, select DHCP (selected by default) or STATIC for the IP address configuration.
- Under Configure Wireless select the WLAN, enter the authentication information in the Connect
- Click Save.
Setup the Device for Measurements
- Power on the device.
- A 15 minute warm-up time is needed before performing clinical measurements.
- Pre-irradiate the device if possible in the full active area or at least with the maximum field size (25
cm × 25 cm) at the treatment machine with a dose of at least 3 Gy (ideally 5 Gy).
- Place the MatriXX AiR on the treatment couch. Ensure the device electronics are not within the
irradiated area. - Align to the isocenter using the light field and room-lasers.
- Connect the power and ethernet cables and power ON the device.
Add a Patient

Switch to the myQA Patients (1) workspace.
- Click Import DICOM to import a new patient (2). The Select study to import dialog opens.
- Under the File Based tab, click Update and select the correct file.
- In the Import dialog select the Patient, RTDOSE, and RTPLAN boxes.
- Click OK to create a patient and import the datasets.
- Select a patient and click Create project from selected patient (3).
- Enter a name and the appropriate source axis distance.
Setup a Clinic / Machine / Device in the SW
- Open myQA (username: admin, password: admin)
- Navigate to myQA Platform (1) > Equipment Setup (2) and create a new Clinic (3)

Create a new department / room (4) and machine (5)
Add the MatriXX AiR as detector

Click New detector (6) to open the Detector Editor.
- If the MatriXX AiR is connected / online, it will appear under Online devices (this can take up to 30 seconds during the first connection).
- Click Copy device properties, name the device, and click Save.
Add an Output Calibration
- Select the MatriXX AiR device in the Calibrations section. Click Edit.

The MatriXX AiR Editor opens, click the New output calibration button.

Enter the necessary information for the Machine and Reference value sections (The reference value used is from the TPS dose or the measurement with a chamber).
Note: A minimum dose of 2 Gy is recommended for the output calibration

For the output calibration enter the dose delivered to the MatriXX AiR (measured by an ionization chamber in the same conditions).
Note: The output calibration depends on different parameters (e.g., particle types, dose rate) and should be determined carefully based on the same conditions as those used clinically.
For the output calibration two options are available:
- Option 1: Define different output calibrations depending on the depth of the treatment. The output calibration is repeated several times using different beam energies.

Option 2: Define one output calibration for all energies. For this option, it is recommended to determine
the output calibration using different beams (different energies, e.g., 70 MeV , 150 MeV and 226 MeV). Then myQA will do an average.
Perform a Measurement

Go to the Measurement (1) workspace.
- In the Equipment section, choose the online device and accelerator. Click Connect (2).
- The background is measured automatically (3).
- Click on Settings (4) and ensure the following parameters are correct:

Machine Tab (Machine and Energy) and Calibration Tab
Beam detection Tab: keep the default (factory setting) parameter values.
- Choose the Measurement Mode (5) from the dropdown menu and click Start (6).
- Turn on the accelerator and irradiate the patient plan.
