Why is the red error light flashing on my Common Control Unit (CCU)?
The red error led on the Common Control Unit (CCU) serves two purposes:
The main purpose of the error led is to indicate the occurrence of an error with one or more components of the system. During this type of event, the light will remain solid and an audible tone will be heard from the Hand Pendant.
The secondary function of the error led it to represent a warm-up function of the controller. In this case, the light will flash for approximately 30 minutes before extinguishing. Should the power be cycled, the timer will restart each time for the same 30 minute duration. There is no requirement to wait the entire duration, however it will ensure the data collected is the most stable.
