How to install myQA Accept?

Answer

Important considerations: Before installing myQA Accept ensure the following points:

Supported Operating systems: Windows 10 or 11, 64 bit, US English

Supported SQL servers: SQL Server 2019

Minimum Hardware Requirements (or equivalent Virtual Runtime Environments):

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 desktop or mobile processor or better
  • RAM of 8 GB or more
  • Graphics Card: DirectX 9c compatible, 256 MB video RAM, no shared memory
  • Ethernet minimum 10 Mbit/s
  • Ethernet (RJ-45) plug to connect controllers (e.g., the CCU). A second RJ-45 or Ethernet switch is needed if connecting an EmXX for LDA-99 measurements

Supported Screen Resolutions and optimal DPI settings:

  • 1920 × 1080 (FHD) with 100% or 125%
  • 2560 × 1600 with 200%

Note: After changing the screen resolution, please restart myQA Accept to take the change in to
account.

Virtual Runtime Environments

Full desktop virtualizations simulating the above requirements, e.g.,

  • XEN Desktop 7.15.2000.291 (Windows 10 64bit, 1 user)
  • CitriX single user mode

 

Connection to SQL Databases:

In order to have connection to SQL Databases, it is a must to install myQA SW. Also, the myQA and myQA Databases shall be created in a SQL Server.

Note: If there is no myQA database created or the database version does not match the version of the myQA Accept to be installed, please configure the database with the Database Configuration Tool. 

Note: Start from myQA Accept 9.0, the myQA Accept will have its own database. If you upgrade an earlier version to this version, the existing database must be migrated from the myQA database to its own myQA Accept database, see How to create a new Database with myQA Accept?

Step 1

Insert the installation myQA CD into the CD/DVD drive of the PC or navigate to the installation package.

Note: 

  • Before starting the installation, close all unnecessary applications running on your PC.
  • Deactivate antivirus software during installation.
  • Administrator rights are required for installing this software. Otherwise the
    software installation will fail.

Step 2

Go to Windows Explorer, open the CD directory.

Step 3

Double-click to open the Accept folder.

Step 4

Double-click Setup.exe. A new Start up window gets opened automatically.

Step 5

Select Next and follow instructions.
The installation program looks for missing prerequisites (with checkmark). Click Install.

Note:  Ensure DIRECTX  and HASP installation.

Step 6

Click Browse to change the location if the default location for myQA Accept should be change.

Click Next.

Step 7:

Click Install.

After the installation is complete, a shortcut to myQA Accept will be created on the desktop.

Step 8

After finishing the myQA Accept software installation.
