Why does Compass stop working after some seconds after upgrading from Windows 7 to 10?
Answer
After some seconds Compass will show the following error message: "Compass has stopped working".
The event log looks similar to:

This message can be misleading.
In some cases Windows uses a generic driver for the Nvidia graphics card after the upgrade to Windows 10. So, Compass is missing the correct driver (in this case the nvoglv64.dll is missing).
Reinstalling the original driver for the Nvidia graphics card for Windows 10 will solve the problem.
