Question
How to verify the integrity of myQA 2020-002 upgrade installer with checksums (CRC, SHA)?
Answer
For the myQA Upgrade zip files that are sent to eligible customers via download, we provide checksums (CRC-32 and SHA-256) to verify the integrity of the upgrade package. If the checksums are calculated after the download and compared to the values we publish for this version, it is certain that the installer package is intact, complete and no manipulation happened to the files during upload, storing on a sharefile folder or during the download.
There are different tools available for calculating checksums with Windows (e.g. 7zip), the results should be the same, no matter what tool is used.
Once the myQA2020-002 upgrade installer is fully downloaded, it is a zip file called "myQA2020-002update.zip", the CRC-32 or the SHA-256 checksums can be calculated and compared to the following values:
- CRC-32: B4CFF1BD
- SHA-256: C156E87FE80A32565136A58588F663976DC319977BA3D9A68023A58B7E96C827
If there is no match between these values and the checksums you are getting from the downloaded zip file, please contact the IBA Dosimetry Service team, to notify us about the mismatch and to receive a new upgrade file.
