What is the data format for PDD files saved as .csv and how does it relate the the PDD in Accept?
Answer
Data Format of Accept PDD .csv files
Accept PDD data exported as a .csv file contains scan header information along with semi-colon delineated measured data for each depth in the following format: inline; crossline; depth; Normalized Field; Current Field; Ratio.
Measured Data Format Definitions:
Inline; Crossline; Depth: Y, X, and Z coordinates for each data point
Normalized Field: The relative FIELD chamber reading excluding accelerator beam fluctuations detected by the REFERENCE chamber. Because this data does not take the reference signal into account, it will not agree with the PDD values displayed within Accept UNLESS no reference chamber was used.
Current Field: The raw FIELD chamber readings which, similar to the Normalized Field data, does NOT account for accelerator fluctuations detected by the reference detector.
Ratio: The relative FIELD chamber readings adjusted for accelerator beam fluctuations detected by the reference chamber. The Ratio data relative normalization will match the normalization of the PDD data displayed in the Accept software.
