Question
Can the myQA Daily be on a different subnet than the server hosting the software?
Answer
Yes, the myQA Daily can be used on a different subnet than the server hosting the software. The device must be manually configured though first in the software for it to show as online.
Step 1
Reference the link below for setting up your software and device.
Step 2
Connect your myQA Daily to your network and make sure the device is able to be pinged from the server. If it cannot, there could be internal firewall blocking the connection. The ports that need to be opened for the myQA Daily and software are 58321 and 1338.
Step 3
If the device is pingable, launch the myQA Daily. Go to Setup and add device. Manually type in the name, serial number, IP address, and port of the myQA Daily. The myQA Daily will not show up as an online device in this window. Click Save
Step 4
At first the device will show in the list as offline.
Wait a few seconds and the device will show as online.
You are now configured and ready to use the device and software.
