Question
How to import Dicom 3D Dose Data into myQA Accept?
Answer
Starting the SW version 9.0, the XY planes and the extracted Z-axis PDD of a DICOM RTDose data can be imported for performing analysis in myQA Accept.
- In the main menu bar, click File > Import RTDose Dicom, the Import RTDose dialog opens.
- Click Load Dataset (1) and browse and select the DICOM file. The positions of the XY planes will be filled in the XY planes box (2). Click to select a plane, its image will be displayed (3).
- In Import Type (4), select XY plane and / or Z-Axis PDD as needed.
- In the Radiation Type dropdown list (5), select Photons or Electrons as required.
- In the Energy dropdown list, select the desired energy value (6).
- Enter the SSD and field size values (7) in the corresponding boxes. These parameters are not imported.
Note: If the Energy dropdown list is not available, please check if a radiation device with photon and electron energy types is selected.
Important Notice: ENERGY AND RADIATION TYPE SELECTION
Please make sure the parameters in Radiation Type and Energy boxes correspond to the imported RT dose file. Otherwise, comparison and analysis will be wrong. The RT dose file is imported with the information selected or entered by the user.
- Define the water surface: By default, the first plane is set as the water surface. To change it, select a different plane and click Set as water surface (8). Consequently, the values in the Depth column will be corrected automatically. When the water surface plane is selected, the button below becomes Is water surface (9).
- Import: In the XY planes box, click a row to select a plane, click multiple planes while pressing down the Ctrl / Shift key to select or multiple planes, or Ctrl + A to select all planes, and then click the Import button (10).
Note that the Import button becomes enabled once the energy value is defined and one or more planes are selected in the XY planes box.
