How to update the firmware for myQA Daily?
Answer
Here is a step by step description how to perform the easy firmware upgrade for your myQA Daily device. It is recommended always installing the latest firmware versions on IBA measurement devices as in general they improve the overall reliability, measurement accuracy, and IT security of the measurement system.
Step 1
Connect the device to the computer with an Ethernet cable.
Step 2
Switch the device on and wait until the power button LED lights green.
Step 3
Press briefly (<1 s) the Config button on the device. The Activity LED starts to blink.
Step 4
There are three options to open configuration web interface:
- via URL http://myqadaily-[s/n].local/([s/n] to be replaced by the device serial number)
- via URL http://169.254.22.11/ (valid if the device is connected to the PC with a direct cable connection or if no DHCP server exists on the local network)
- via Windows Explorer:

The myQA Daily device configuration web interface opens:
Enter username, “admin” and password (default: “admin”) and click LOGIN.
Step 6
Click the Navigation icon in the upper-left corner to expand the Navigation panel and choose System Update:
Then, the System Update page opens:

Click the Select File button, then browse and select the new firmware file. Click Start Update to start the update process. The update can take up to five minutes and the device will restart afterwards.
